ABOUT ME
I am a radiologist with 30 years’ experience in academic medicine, most recently as Professor of Radiology, Chief of Abdominal Radiology, University of Texas Southwestern Dallas (UTSW). I was a member of the admissions committees for medical school, radiology residency and fellowship at Harvard University Hospitals, University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and UTSW.
Throughout my career, I have advocated for women in medicine. I am the Former President of the American Association of Women in Radiology, Founder of the Committee for Women of the American College of Radiology and co-founder of the Diversity Collaborative UTSW. Overall, I have mentored and coached nearly 100 women. As an internationally recognized expert on maintaining work/life balance for women physicians I have published peer-reviewed papers and lectured at national and international meetings.
